The place was very clean and comfortable. Amenities we're very well arranged. The host received us and provided for the basic food items. The reply to the messages were prompt and effective. The rooms were cleaned daily and thoroughly by the host mother. She even provided us with some of hers baked delites. Very convenient to go to black beach and Akrotiri. A little far from Oia. Host was available through WhatsApp always to answer any query we had. Very happy with the stay. Would like to visit again for a peaceful stay away from the mainstream tourist attraction.

Room was large, spacious and airy with a beautiful, big picture window looking out onto the large terrace. It was well furnished and very comfortable. The apartments' location lived up to their name .......right on the cliffs with magnificent views of the sea, the caldera and other parts of the island. A lovely, quiet spot to spend a few days. The owner/manager, Fytros was very welcoming and friendly.....we were delighted with his hospitality.

We have just spent 4 days at the cliff, the apartment we stayed in was spacious, clean & modern, as a family run business Marco is always around to help & answer any questions he’s really friendly & approachable. There is daily house keeping, amazing views you feel really Safe & have loads of privacy, the apartments next door ‘the grand view’ allow you to use their pool & bar if you want a chill day. We hired a buggy which was cheaper then using taxis & gives you more independence to explore the island, it was a ten minute drive to Firá where all your bars & shops are. Also 30 minutes drive to oia which is worth the drive. At the top of the hill by the apartments is the cliff where you can watch the sunset on an evening, I’d recommend staying here i already want to go back.…

I stayed in the small apartment with a friend for 4 days over July (peak season) and we loved our time at the Cliff. Marcos, made everything very easy, organising airport transfers, printing off boarding passes, giving us advice on where to go and what to see, and helping us to hire the 4-wheeler ATV. He makes himself available if you need help, but also gives you plenty of space to relax. The apartment was very comfortable and Marcos organised a sofa bed. The kitchenette was handy as it meant we didn't have to eat every meal out. However, there was an option for breakfast that Marcos and his family would prepare if we had needed it. If you're looking for something away for the crowds, where you can watch the sunset in peace, but still easily go to a nice restaurant of grab…

~Location~ To be honest I booked this hotel by accident (on a non-refundable rate so I couldn’t change it) but I’ve tried to be as fair as possible in my review since it was my mistake. If you want to be able to see a sunset from your hotel that isn’t in the crazy busy touristy end of the island, then you’re in the right place and on the correct (West) side of the island to do it. It is located South of Fira but still closer to the centre of curve than the bottom end. This end of the island is definitely quieter and away from the maddening crowds but close enough that if you want to do something in Fira/Oia, you can and then escape away from it all. Close to Red Beach. Don’t get me wrong, its not a long bus ride to Fira or a second bus to Oia, but if you have a car that would be strongly advisable since the buses do not run particularly frequently (especially since “peak” season was apparently “over” – although apparently no such thing in Santorini but anyway). The buses are easy and affordable to use and the bus stop is a short walk from the hotel however, if it is at night, a few things to note: 1) there is no street lighting for at least half the walk 2) there is no sidewalk and cars drive directly at you (ensure you use your flashlight on your phone to indicate where you are so as not to get run over) 3) scheduled buses may arrive much later and out of schedule so getting home much later than anticipated is not unusual. Just to emphasise though that as a solo female traveller, I never felt like I was in any danger walking home in the dark. My points above are simply to let you know to either hire a car or to ensure you are home before sunset if walking in those conditions is not your shot of ouzo

The location is great! For those who search for a quiet place with an incredible view this is the place. The host was great always making sure that everything was ok and helped us finding the best solutions to our requests. A really great experience!!

Everything about our stay was great, from the room to the view outside. Markos greeted us as soon as we got off the shuttle and gave us a bunch of tips about what to do/where to eat nearby. The Megalochori village was smaller and a distance from the main town Fira. It was only two days so we were able to get everything we need, including water and snacks from a nearby super market. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The little kitchenette and fridge were very convenient. There was a lot of strategic counter space in the room as well as the bathroom.
